At the end of last year, Currumbin Community Special School on Queensland’s Gold Coast, was accepted into the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program. The school now has their garden up and running, thanks to a little bit of help from Neta.

Queensland Area Sales Managers, Mike Thomas and Dave Edmunds were approached by one of their customers who informed them of what the school was doing. Mike and Dave then decided to go and have a look at the site for the garden and find out how they could help… and help they did. Between the 2 of them Mike and Dave helped to design an irrigation system for the garden and provided the school with all the materials they needed to make it happen.

The students at Currumbin School love their new garden and are getting excited about cooking with fruit, vegetables and herbs that they have grown from scratch. One of the students has been so inspired by the school’s garden he has started up his own landscaping service. The garden has so far been very beneficial to all...
